GitHub Permissions

We request the following specific permissions:

  • read:user - To access your profile details (username, avatar).
  • user:email - To verify your identity and send account notifications.
  • read:org - To count contributions made within organizations.
  • repo - To access private repository statistics and contribution data.

Note: The "repo" scope is required by GitHub to read private contribution counts. We do not modify your code or repositories.

Data Caching

To ensure fast widget loading times and respect GitHub API rate limits, we temporarily cache your stats (stars, commits, etc.) on our secure Redis servers. This cache expires automatically every 60 minutes.

Widget Tracking

We collect anonymous usage data (view counts, referrer domains) for your widgets to provide you with the "Deep Analytics" feature. This data helps you understand who is viewing your profile.

Data Security

Your authentication tokens are encrypted at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. You can revoke access at any time via your GitHub settings.
